Dearest Reader,

Every week, the DQ publishes a citation from Angels brought to us by Lord Landscape Rosca, our Seraphim. Please find below February’s citations from Angels for it is never excessive to remember such wise sentences.

09.February.2009
The courtesy is at the spirit what the grace is at the face.
(Voltaire)

The reason speaks and the feeling bites.
(Pétrarque)

24.February.2009
It is easier to be a hero than an honest man. Hero we can be once, by chance; honest man we must always be.

LadyHeart Janick and Landscape Rosca got married in Duhallow

Posted by Anouk Lefavre in ,

Ladyheart Janick and Landscape Rosca, our Seraphim exchanged vows in the Vox Angeli Chapel, on the evening of 25th February 2009.
It was a beautiful celebration of Love that draw together the closest friends of the merry couple, including their Majesties, the High King Jedediah, the High Queen Fayandria and Princess Jaelle.

We, at the Duhallow Quill, pray and wish happiness for both Ladyheart and Landscape on their marriage; we hope they are the ones from the story that says - Happily Ever After…

«Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind». A Midsummer Night's Dream, William Shakespeare

The Duhallow Quill would like to dedicate the merry couple William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 105 -Let not my love be called idolatry

Let not my love be called idolatry,
Nor my beloved as an idol show,
Since all alike my songs and praises be
To one, of one, still such, and ever so.
Kind is my love to-day, to-morrow kind,
Still constant in a wondrous excellence;
Therefore my verse to constancy confined,
One thing expressing, leaves out difference.
Fair, kind, and true, is all my argument,
Fair, kind, and true, varying to other words;
And in this change is my invention spent,
Three themes in one, which wondrous scope affords.
Fair, kind, and true, have often lived alone,
Which three till now, never kept seat in one.

Mardi Gras Day

Posted by Anouk Lefavre in

The terms Mardi Gras and Mardi Gras Season, in English, refer to events of the Carnival celebrations, ending on the day before Ash Wednesday. From the French term Mardi Gras - literally «Fat Tuesday» - the term has come to mean the whole period of activity related to those events, beyond just the single day, often called Mardi Gras Day or Fat Tuesday. The season can be designated by the year, as in Mardi Gras 2009.
This year, a Mardi Gras Costume and Masquerade Ball will take place this coming Saturday, February 21st. The Ball dress code is formal and ranges Medieval, Victorian and Venetian Styles.

Very important message from our Seraphim

Lord Landscape Rosca, our Seraphim has asked me post the important message about Bonda, the Orc.

«My dear friends,

I feel that the Orc could be back with a great strength. I have no news about him, and I feel that he could be away from Jail.
Take care when you walk across the realm. I will send you the angels for protection.

My blessings
Land, your Seraphim»
