This week, we went underwater to meet the lovely Lady Leslie Beaumont. She is a charming, kind and sweet lady, very dedicated to her merrow community as well as to her duties in the Empire of Fayandria.

This week, we are meeting the most honourable Lady Pandora Fireguard. She is a kind, intelligent and intuitive lady. True to her principles, she is a keen leader, loyal to the Imperial Crown and loving to her friends and fiancé.

*RL age: Haha… Same as Tbird Low's.

*SL Occupation & Hobbies: Ard Imperial Minister of Fayandria and Fianna Knight.  I like to fight but don't practice as I should, but I am a good loser.  Otherwise, I prefer solitary pursuits such as building, terraforming and landscaping. I am a daydreamer and a thinker.
*Favourite book: Hmm, I read so many; it is hard to choose. My favourite writers are Thomas Hardy, British, and Isaac Bashevis Singer, Yiddish. They were very detailed in their writing which gives one a sense of the characters’ motivations and the times and cultures in which they lived.
* Favourite movie: "Titanic". I admired the first lifeboat captain who went back to look for survivors and the determination of the heroine to live and continue on with her life. Persistence is everything.
*Best moment in SL: The day Captain Tbird Low and I realized that our love had withstood the test of time. And, finding out we were the same age.

As a journalist, I have had the privilege to interview quite a number of characters… I have met various types of persons: quiet, moody, happy, smart… and the list could go on. Each of them was distinctive and unforgettable. However, this week I was caught by surprise… I must confess it was no easy task to keep my journalistic composure while editing this interview. I smiled… I laughed… I blushed and above all I had fun!
This week’s UpClose focuses on a remarkable character. It is impossible to ignore him… It is difficult to resist him… It is unviable to find him indifferent - whether you love him or you hate him… There is no middle term. I dare to state he is our very own Don Juan DeFayandria…

Hobbies: Heart breaking… flirting, more flirting, visiting other lands and flirting  there… coming back to Fayandria flirting and then charm a little more so I can flirt more.

*Favourite Movie: Oh I have so many… I can’t name just one… so… if you would like to know them, come to my chambers, slip into something more comfortable and let’s discuss them.
*Best Moment in SL: The moment I met each individual that is on my friends list. All people are so different and so diverse it so much fun to learn about each one.

*SL Occupation & Hobbies: Builder, owner of "Ye olde Kitchen shoppe", spend time with my friends, Triskele’s Sunday socials, Fayandria Inn socials, sparing and have a good RP.
* Favourite book: uff lots of them… I don’t have one in particular… But if I have to mention one it will be Little Women *smiles*
* Favourite movie: Braveheart.
*Best moment in SL: Humm… I have quite a lot of them… For me each day is a memorable day. Each day has its surprises… so I have to say that don’t have one, so far.

DQ: What brought you to Fayandria?

AD: I was once lived in a land called Triskele. There I spent my days learning about the RP world and at the same time building my future and my home. But with time Triskele, my home land disappeared.
With the fall of Triskele I moved to Eternia., where i first met Lord Nax Satereau and Lord Landscape Rosca. Lord Nax kindly asked me to lead the dragons, to help him and I tried hard to do so. I believe I didn’t fail him. But unfortunately I had to move again due to strange things happening in the realm and I wasn’t feeling comfortable anymore. So I decided to move on and followed my old friends from triskele to a place called Sylvhara. There I still have my old friends, I have learned how to fight and also I managed the tavern. With time Lord Landscape invited me come to Fayandria. And ever since that day I decided this would be my home. I fell in love with the people and the place. I felt so welcome and trusted by Their Majesties and their people that I decided I should to live and die in Fayandria. My home.


DQ: Tell us a bit about your background, Dragoness…

AD: The story I’m about to tell, you won’t find it anywhere. It is a story of another world, filled with love and despair. Let me start at the beginning.
Once there was once a child who was an apprentice to the Land Master’s cook. One day, she returned from market to find her master was very ill. At the age of ten years, parents long gone and her sick master, she feared her life would end in sadness.
When the Land Master found out his cook was sick, he took in the girl and teached her how to read and write. He gave her the same education as his daughter. He wanted her to be a lady in this world. Although she was becoming a very intelligent, graceful lady, she felt very sad. Although she had everything, something was missing. She felt somehow different…
For her whole life, she believed to be just an ordinary human being. She lived her life enjoying every second, travelling around the world, meeting people from different cultures and kingdoms. She had an ordinary name and an almost ordinary life.
But one day, she learnt she belonged somewhere else… She discovered her real legacy… She learnt that she was half fae. But not only that… She found out that she was able to transform herself into a dragon - something she thought it was impossible. But this was the power she had within her.
She learnt about this from her Land master, the one who gave her the education and knowledge. He told her that he did this to prepare her to her future, and to save her. While she was a young dragon whose mother hid her from hunters by changing her to human form, he found her during a hunting.
In despair to learn the truth about her story - the one that runs in her blood, her legacy, her name, her family… She decided to leave the place she used to call home and embrace a journey in the pursuit for the truth and answers to all her questions and doubts.
For years she wandered from realm to realm. She eventually settled in Triskele her home for a while, where she found friends and joined the Rangers guild. While she was there, the dragon within emerged and through the dragon religion of Thurbanism she finally discovered her true identity.
With the fall of Triskele, she has moved on to Sylvhara where she was also asked to lead the dragons at Cristalina.
Time pass and she didn’t feel comfortable and loved in Eternia. When the Crystal Dragons King had left that realm behind she decided to follow him. She now lives in a place to call home in Fayandria, even though she still has a greater goal to achieve: that is to learn about her nature and evolution as a powerful dragon.
She recently learnt about a living bother: Harkon Benoir, king of Westenguard…

DQ: You were recently held captive by a demon… Tell us about that ordeal and how you managed to overcome such an experience.

AD: As any extreme situation… I felt fear and terror. I didn’t know what was going to happen to me… I spent my days in a dark place, where only my loneliness and I spent time together. I only survived and, I know from other similar situations, because I kept thinking of my friends and the urge of returning alive to them. I also thought of the love I might find someday… I thought of the green fields of my land and my home. I only tried to find refuge in positive thoughts… That was what kept me alive…

DQ: What do you want to achieve as Queen’s Counsel and as Ambassador to Scepterd?

AD: I only have positive goals in both positions: to increase the friendship ties and to keep unity alive, to bring new life to the Realm and represent our Queen’s Heart all over the kingdom and what Fayandria represents to us all.
As for my work? Bring ideas, work in team, build a creative environment and try to guide those who need help.

*SL Name: Nax Sautereau
*Title: Lord of The Crystals, Dragon Lord of the Realm of Fayandria, Royal Minister
*RL Age: 46
*Rez Day: May 29th 2007
*SL Occupation & Hobbies: When I started in sl I worked as a bartender, then host at a beach club called Popeye's. Then I was hired as host at Frank's Jazz Club, and there I was Host Manager and General Manager.
When I found out medieval RP in SL, I "retired" and for a few months I spent all my time in Avilion. There I learned how to fight among many other things. It was also there that I met Fae Lilica and we became very close and good friends. Many adventures we had together… For my victories and services done to the Realm, I was Knighted.
Unfortunately, nowadays I do not have as much time to spend with my friends in SL. But when I do, I like to dance, to talk, to build and to practise spar. Exploring is something I used to do a lot but not so much these days.
*Favourite Book: I like fiction and adventures books, as well as those that take romanticize parts of history. It may sound a bit common, but I have just finished reading Tolkien again, the three books of The Lord of The Rings...
*Favourite Movie: I like movies very much, I don't have a favourite one. This past week I saw Gran Torino and Who wants to be a millionaire. I liked both, but Gran Torino better.
*Best moment in SL: I can remember of many. The first job I had, the promotions, when I got to General Manager of Frank's Jazz Club. The victories I had in Avilion, that was my medieval "RP" school, especially when I was Knighted. The true friendship shown by some of the people I met here, as our Seraphim Landscape Rosca. Some very very special moments spent with Lilica, The Fae of My Heart. But those I'll keep to myself and her to remember *grins* The foundation of Crystal Blades was a very special moment as well.

DQ: What brought you to The Realm of Fayandria?

NS: I had, as I said, many victories, but also many defeats. One of them was when I lost Crystal Blades, and was again wondering throughout sl to find a place to live. I was then told by a great dragon, my grand father, about the Realm, and that it was his last egg that was protected by the McDunnough Clan. He told me then to come and give my loyalty to The King and Queen, and to protect them and the egg, until it is time for it to hatch.

DQ: Tell us a bit about Crystal Blades… It’s foundation and who helped you creating it.

NS: Crystal Blades was a dream that came true. I am that kind of person that, if doesn't have a challenge, looses interest on things.
After I was knighted at Avilion, my "career" seemed to be finishing there. I was looking for a place to build a castle, and when I found the land, I decided to get the full Sim.
Lili and I partnered on that, the Sim was called Cristalina, and the story of Crystal Blades began. I had the help of two great builders and friends, Altopia Jewel and Lupus Hirano, Fae and Elf, and some other friends helped a lot, too. My idea at that time was to have my Knight House, loyal to Avilion, at this Sim. But the Lord and Lady of The Mist took this in a wrong way, thinking I was actually trying to drive people from their realm to create mine. Consequently, I was treated as a traitor and had my titles ripped.
That was sad, but I decided to work for me, not for them anymore, especially because I found out none of all the hard work and time I gave them was rewarded as it should.
But Crystal Blades grew. I was respected as man and Knight, and was offered alliance by some other realms, and Crystal Blades Warrior’s House began to make history.
It went so well, that I was offered to move and so Cristalina became Antique Cristalina, neighbour to Antique Mystique, that was Altopia's Sim. We did a lot of rebuilding and then Cristalina had 2 Sims.
Altopia had to leave SL, I was "left alone" to manage everything. A little while later, King Rab Spiteler, from Eternia, offered me to join his lands. The offer was good, the project was nice. We would be a separate country linked by sea - open space sim with water only. We moved again. Rebuilt again, this time, I sort of did it all myself, with some help of friends, but the main building was done alone. A very special one is Ludmilla Rogozarsky, Queen of The Crystal Merrows.
Unfortunately that did not go well as King Rab was taken by an evil Spirit, and he took over all my lands.
Now Cristalina doesn't exist anymore and Crystal Blades only purpose is to serve HRH of The Realm of Fayandria.

DQ: What do you want to achieve as the Lord of the Dragons?
NS: My goal, my dream, is to see Seanrath full of us, dragons, protecting the people of the Realm

DQ:If you had one wish for The Realm of Fayandria… What would it be?
NS:I wish that it grows in lands and people. Gain respect among realms that are part of the medieval RP community in SL. I know it takes a lot of time and hard work to achieve this, but what I am able to do, I will.
